'Trump is only hope': Former Democrat Tulsi Gabbard to join Republican party

Former Democratic White House hopeful Tulsi Gabbard formally announced that she is joining the Republican party.
Speaking at a Trump rally in North Carolina on October 22, Gabbard announced, "I'm proud to stand here with you today, President Trump, and announce that I'm joining the Republican Party."
As she joined Trump on the stage, Gabbard admired the former president for his "leadership that transformed the Republican Party and brought it back to the party of the people and the party of peace."
Sharing the video of the rally on X, the former Democrat wrote, "For independent-thinkers like myself, there is no home in the Democrat Party. However, there is a home for us in the Republican Party."

She also praised the Republican party in her post saying, "The Republican Party of warmongering elite Dick Cheney is in the past. Trump’s GOP is a big open tent party of the people, equality, commonsense, and the party that is led by a President who has the courage and strength to fight for peace."
Gabbard also urged voters to cast their ballot for the Democratic nominee and said Trump is the "only hope" for saving the nation.
"President Trump is our best and only hope in this election to lead our country toward a future where every one of us can live in a truly free, peaceful, and prosperous nation. Now is the time for us to stand together, vote for Trump and save our country," Gabbard wrote on X.

Gabbard had previously endorsed Trump and was named to his transition team in the event the former President won November's US election.
'Harris incredibly dangerous as president'
The former Democratic congresswoman ran for US president in 2019 and almost "ended" Kamala Harris' prosecutor career during the Democratic presidential debate.
Gabbard unleashed a bitter attack on Harris as she called out the Democratic nominee for prosecuting numerous marijuana-related cases to convictions and her impact on the cash bail system in California.
Recently, Gabbard again attacked Harris saying she is a "new figurehead for the deep state" and would be "incredibly dangerous" as the US president.
