The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) on Thursday (June 26) said that sirens were heard in Yated, southern Israel, triggering speculations over who might have done it. It comes three days after US President Donald Trump announced Israel-Iran ceasefire.

"Sirens sounding in Yated, southern Israel," the IDF said in a post on X on Thursday.

Minutes later, the IDF clarified, saying that it was determined to be a false identification.

"Following the sirens that sounded at 17:42 in Yated, it was determined to be a false identification," the Israel defence forces stated.
