Kim Jong-Un's regime tested a hypersonic missile. According to state-run channel KCNA, the launch took place in Jagang province. The missile reportedly performed "guiding manoeuvrability" and displayed "navigational control".
After the latest launch, North Korea's media said the new missile increased the country's "defence capabilities".
The newNorth Koreanmissile was identified as Hwasong-8. The state media reported that the launch met "all technical specifications".
