China has limited the amount by which the country's fuel costs can rise, the government announced Monday, to mitigate surging oil prices.
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said on Monday (March 23) there was no assessment that Iran was targeting mainland Britain.
"A lot of our tankers that were stuck in Strait of Hormuz have returned ... Our farmers have sufficient storage of food and grains," said the Indian PM.
"Our primary focus is to keep energy costs under control. Families should not suffer from price rise. We have worked on maintaining stable petrol and diesel supply. In past 11 years, India has diversifies it energy needs. Today, we import energy from 41 countries. We have more than 53 lakh metric tonnes of fuel reserved," said PM Modi.

Lebanese President Aoun warned the bridge attacks "represent a dangerous escalation and flagrant violation of Lebanon's sovereignty, and are considered a prelude to a ground invasion." He added that the Israeli attacks on the bridge were “an attempt to sever the geographical connection between the southern Litani region and the rest of Lebanese territory.” He said they fell “within suspicious schemes to establish a buffer zone along the Israeli border, solidify the reality of the occupation and seek Israeli expansion within Lebanese territory.”

International Energy Agency chief Fatih Birol said that the global economy is under "major threat" from the energy crisis caused due to war and "no country will be immune" to its effects. Speaking at the National Press Club in Australia's capital, Birol compared the current energy crisis to those of the 1970s and the impact of Russia's 2022 invasion of Ukraine. "This crisis as things stand is now two oil crises and one gas crash put all together. The global economy is facing a major, major threat today, and I very much hope that this issue will be resolved as soon as possible. No country will be immune to the effects of this crisis if it continues to go in this direction. So there is a need for global efforts," Birol said.
