Latest News Today Live Updates: Ontario Premier Doug Ford has launched a fierce attack on US President Donald Trump, calling him a "bully", "dictator" and "loser" as tensions over tariffs and stalled Canada-US trade talks intensify. Trump has warned Canada of "far worse" consequences, while Ford said he was ready for the confrontation.

The US Supreme Court meanwhile has handed Trump a temporary victory on mail-in voting restrictions, allowing parts of his executive order to move forward while leaving its ultimate legality unresolved.

US War Secretary Pete Hegseth said Washington is not ruling out military strikes against Iran or in the Strait of Hormuz as the US increases economic pressure on Tehran. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent has also launched "Operation Economic Outcast" to target Iran's financial lifelines.
