During his address to the nation, Hariri had spoken against Iran and Hezbollah accusing them of destabilising Lebanon
Saad Hariri who had announced his resignation as Lebanon's prime minister last month decided to rescind it on Tuesday.
Hariri had announced he was stepping down as prime minister in a televised address from Saudi Arabia last month with Lebanon accusing the Saudis of putting him under "house arrest".
During his address to the nation, Hariri had spoken against Iran and Hezbollah accusing them of destabilising Lebanon.
However, on Tuesday, Hariri decided to withdraw his resignation putting an end to the month-long political storm engulfing the country.
"The council of ministers thanks the prime minister for rescinding his resignation," Hariri said, reading from a cabinet statement.
"The Lebanese government, in all its political components, has committed to distance itself from all conflicts, wars, and internal affairs of Arab states," Hariri added.
This "disassociation" is intended to "preserve Lebanon's political and economic relations with its Arab brothers", the statement said.
Soon after after Hariri's announcement, France said the Lebanese prime minister would attend talks on Friday in Paris on the situation in Lebanon which would be attended by US secretary of state Rex Tillerson.
