Justin Trudeau tells woman to say 'peoplekind', not 'mankind'; faces backlash

The Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau came under fire on social media for supposedly 'mansplaining' a woman after he lightheartedly corrected a woman to say 'peoplekind' and not 'mankind,' which initially drew cheersbut later received a criticism for mansplaining and being too politically correct.

Trudeau was addressing a town hall event during which a woman introducing herself as the previous member of 'world mission society church of God'was talking about 'maternal love' after which she proceeded with askingTrudeau to look into policies on volunteering for religious charitable organizations after which she continued to spoke about maternal love and described it as 'the love that's going to change the future of mankind' to which Trudeau interrupted raising his hand and said 'peoplekind' not 'mankind.'

Many in the audience including the woman cheered to Trudeau's comment.

According to google dictionary, mansplaining is a term used to describe the action of a man explaining something to a woman in a way that could be regarded as condescending or patronizing.

British journalist Piers Morgan also tweeted saying "there is just one problem with your 'peoplekind' nonsense, the word 'woman' has 'man' in it."

Trudeau's comments also received ridicule frompeople on social media.
