After Schuman's allegations, Pussycat Doll Kaya Jones slams Nick Carter over rape allegations

Nick Carter told US Weekly, on Wednesday, that he is "shocked and saddened"by Schuman's accusations and that she had never told him about anything that was "not consensual".

He addedthat they had recordeda song together and even performed on stage, and claimed that he was always respectful and supportive of Melissa, "personally and professionally".

He further said: "This is the first that I am hearing about these accusations, nearly two decades later. It is contrary to my nature and everything I hold dear to intentionally cause someone discomfort or harm.” reported US Weekly.

The teen star who becamefamous for her song "Dream" alleged in a blog post that Carter raped her in 2004 when both were cast members in a made-for-TV movie "The Hollow".

According to reports, Schuman wanted to press charges against Carter, however, she was informed that Carter the most "powerful litigator in the country",reports said

Carter's ex-girlfriend, former Pussycat Doll Kaya Jones, took to Twitter after the accusations against the singer and said:“Nick Carter was my boyfriend while I was in the Pussycat Dolls,” she tweeted. “He knew about the abuse I endured and did nothing. I guess I now know why. Disgusting. Disgraceful. Disgusted in my heart. Especially because he was a victim of abuse himself. Shame on you Nick!”

She raged on Twitter saying: "Nick you have 1 shot to get it right. You can disregard the girls that aren’t on your level even after you abused them. Come Square up with me the girl that was with you for 2 years that knows all your secrets. Let’s go!"

Schuman has since expressed her regard for the support she receivedsince talkingabout the alleged incident.

“I just want to thank everyone for the outpouring of love and support,” she tweeted on Monday.

“Thank you for bearing witness to my story. Thank you for providing me a safe place to be open and vulnerable. I love you all. Thank you for aiding me in the healing that I so desperately needed. I am free now,” she said.
