US President Donald Trump is known as a social media-'friendly' leader, who tweets on just about everything.

But, as people have been pointing out, he has said nothing so far about Team USA at the 2018 Winter Olympic Games.

The United States of America is currently competing at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea, which began on February 9 and will go on to February 25, 2018.

The US is often a top contender at the Winter Olympic games and has a number of gold-medal favourites.

Trump sent a pair of tweets last week about the games that opened Friday in Pyeongchang, South Korea. Both complimented the host country.

Vice President Mike Pence returned to Washington late Saturday after leading a US delegation to Friday's opening ceremony.

Trump's daughter, Ivanka Trump, who serves as an unpaid adviser to her father, is on tap to lead a delegation to the February 25 closing ceremony.

Trump's silence on the Pyeongchang Games mirrors his relative lack of comment during the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He sent one tweet wishing the athletes good luck.
