In another similar incident, a distressed shop owner was recorded in the video requesting rioters not to loot her store; however, the crowd ignored her pleas and pushed her aside, entering the damaged shop. In the footage, the woman can be heard asking, “Why are you doing this?” and shouting, “This is not the cause,” as the looters continue to ransack the store. The video then appears to capture onlookers cheering as masked rioters exit with their arms loaded with stolen goods.

During the violent protest, a historic 143-year-old town hall has been destroyed after demonstrators set it on fire. Built in 1883, Limoges Town Hall in southwest-central France was designated a historic landmark in 1975. The building has now been largely destroyed, with its roof collapsing onto the lower floors amid ongoing anti-government protests sweeping the country.
Local prefect Maurice Barate said, "The roof has collapsed onto lower floors, except the west wing, and two-thirds of the exterior has already disappeared." He called it "a deliberate attempt by hooligans," and added that it was a "catastrophe for heritage."
