Belgian woman raped for 5 days in Islamabad
A 28-year-old Belgian woman was found with her hands tied on the streets of Islamabad on August 14, Pakistan's 78th Independence Day. According to police reports carried by the Pakistani media, the woman claimed she had been gang-raped for five days, following which a suspect was taken into custody.
The womanwas reported to have been found on the street with her hands tied behind her back, according to Samaa TV. Locals informed the police.

The woman told the police that some men raped her for five days. Initial investigationsby police confirmed her claim, and on her statement, they arrested a man identified as Tameezuddin.
She introduced herself as a citizen of Belgium and told police that she had been staying in Islamabad for about six months. She said that she had been living with a man for quite some time, who raped her several times.
The woman was taken to the hospital for her physical examination and medical report on injuries after the registration of the case.
The Aabpara police took the accused Tamizuddin into custody from his home. During interrogation, Tamizuddinclaimed that the woman was mentally challenged, with no personal identification or travel documents on her.
Authorities will get themedical examination of Tamizuddin conducted in the same hospital where they have taken the victim. The police also contacted the Belgian embassy, which said it had no information about such a person travelling to Pakistan and referred them to the Netherlands mission as the area she pointed out to be her native place lay on the border of the twocountries.
