‘Mission to sink entire Iranian Navy’: CENTCOM video shows how US struck WWII-sized aircraft carrier – WATCH

US Central Command on Thursday (Mar 6) said that it struck an Iranian drone carrier, roughly the size of a WWII aircraft carrier. This comes as the military operation against Iran marked its sixth day. CENTCOM added that US forces were not holding back on Operation Epic Fury “to sink the entire Iranian Navy. On February 28, the US and Israeli military launched strikes on Iran, killing Iran’s supreme leader Ali Khamenei and several other top Iranian officials. The operation was named ‘Epic Fury’ by the US and ‘Lion’s Roar’ by Israel.

Sharing the video on social media, CENTCOM wrote, “U.S. forces aren’t holding back on the mission to sink the entire Iranian Navy. Today, an Iranian drone carrier, roughly the size of a WWII aircraft carrier, was struck and is now on fire.”

In another post, CENTCOM said that USS Gerald R. Ford, the world’s largest aircraft carrier, is “dominating” Iran.

“The world’s largest aircraft carrier is part of the team of U.S. forces dominating the world’s largest state sponsor of terrorism. Around-the-clock operations are keeping U.S. Navy F/A-18s in the fight,” the post read.

The attacks came amid heightened tensions between Washington and Tehran and ongoing talks over Iran’s nuclear program. In retaliation, Iran launched attacks on Israel and US military bases in the region, including in Bahrain, Kuwait, the UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan.

Khamenei’s death was confirmed on March 1, with Iran vowing strong revenge over the killing of its supreme leader and warning that US bases in the region would be treated as American territory. Gulf states have cautioned against further escalation, even as Washington and Tel Aviv signal that operations could continue for weeks.

As the conflict escalates, Iran-aligned groups have joined the fight. International leaders have called for de-escalation as some condemned the US-led action, while most NATO allies voiced support for Washington.
