Is your iPhone alarm not playing a sound? Apple says it's working to fix issue

Some iPhone users' alarms are not ringing or playing silently, andUS tech giant Apple is working to fix an issue.

The issue was first reported by NBC's Today Showwhichsaidthat many iPhone owners complained on social media that their alarms were not waking them up. According to a report by BBC, an iPhone user complained on TikTok that she had set five alarms and not one went off.

The report said that while Apple confirmed it was aware of the issue, the technological giant did not reveal what caused it.

It is also unknown how widespread this issue was.

Apple also said that it was working to resolve the issue rapidly.

What canbe donein such a scenario?

A report by The Verge on Wednesday (May 1) said that if iPhone userswere facingthe problem, they could check a couple of settings on their device.

The reportsaidthat users should make surethe ringtone and alerts volume slider under Settings >Sound & Haptics was turned up.

"It can be easy to accidentally turn down your alarm’s volume if you haveChange with Buttonstoggled on beneath that, so you might consider turning that off," the report said.

The report saidthat someTikTok users suggestedturning off the “Attention Aware Features” toggle under Settings > Face ID & Passcode.

This setting lets users expand notifications with their screen locked, but couldalso immediately turn the alarm way down if users look at their screen while it’s going off.
