According to an American&nbsp;official, US President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris received a briefing on Monday from their national security team, which said that the timing of prospective assaults by Iran and Hezbollah is still unknown. The representative added that nothing is known about "the specifics of such an attack."

President Biden and VP Harris got an update on US military support for Israel's defence against any threats from Iran, the White House reported during a national security meeting on Monday. Along with discussing ways to ease tensions, they also looked at the current ceasefire and hostage-release agreement between Israel and Hamas.

“Iran seeks to establish stability in the region, but this will only come with punishing the aggressor and creating deterrence against the adventurism of the Zionist regime,” said Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani, adding that action from Tehran was inevitable.
