Shah expressed confidence that the economy will be back on track in the next 2-3 months.&nbsp;

"When there is a global slowdown, one should look at the effect it has on the world's big economies," Shah said, adding that it is not just India which is bearing the brunt of the global economic slowdown.&nbsp;

The home minister expressed confidence in the measures taken by <a href="https://www.wionews.com/india-news/india-cannot-sacrifice-economic-strength-to-comply-with-us-sanctions-sitharaman-256209">Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman</a> and said that her efforts should pull the economy back on track.&nbsp;

"Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman has had discussions with stakeholders, businessmen, chambers, industrialists to came up with packages. As the Kharif crop hits the market, I am sure positivity should infuse the economy. The measures introduced by the finance minister will help the economy get back on track in the next 2-3 months," Shah stated. &nbsp;

On government's move to abrogate Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, Shah said that Article 370 was being used by Pakistan as a ploy to instigate the people of Jammu and Kashmir.&nbsp;

"Its removal was necessary for the complete integration of Jammu and Kashmir. The entire country came in support of our move except those who are worried about their vote-bank politics. Some of the major political parties - like Mayawati's, Jagan Mohan Reddy's and Arvind Kejriwal's - which fought the election against us, supported us on the Kashmir move," Shah said.&nbsp;
