Hollywood star Will Smith`s daughter Willow Smith has defended the now-infamous moment her father slapped Chris Rock at the 2022 Oscars, saying it is human nature to make mistakes.

According to Page Six, in an interview published by Billboard on Friday, the 21-year-old singer said, "I see my whole family as being human, and I love and accept them for all their humanness."

Willow added, "Because of the position that were in, our humanness sometimes isn`t accepted, and we`re expected to act in a way that isn`t conducive to a healthy human life and isn`t conducive to being honest."'

In March 2022, Will shocked the whole world when he smacked Rock, on stage at the Academy Awards after the comedian made a joke about the 'King Richard' star`s wife Jada Pinkett Smith`s bald head.

Following that, the famous family faced an onslaught of scrutiny, which Willow said did not impact her as much as her "own internal demons." Willow`s comments come a week after her dad took to social media to issue yet another apology for his "unacceptable" behaviour.

Although the Smith family has continued to open up about the incident, Rock made it clear he is not ready to sit down with the 'Fresh Prince of Bel-Air' star.

The stand-up comic has briefly addressed the slap during some of his comedy shows, but an insider told Page Six last month that Will`s latest apology was "too little, too late."

Will Smith's daughter Willow breaks silence on her father's Oscars slap

Singer Willow Smith reveals she is polyamorous. She shared this while sitting with her mother Jada Pinkett Smith and grandmother Adrienne Norris-Banfield, during their Facebook show 'Red Table Talk'.

"With polyamory, I feel like the main foundation is the freedom to be able to create a relationship style that works for you. And not just stepping into monogamy because that's what everyone around you says is 'the right thing to do'," Willow, 20, said, according to a report in reports aceshowbiz.com.

Willow, daughter of Hollywood star Will Smith, added: "Let's say you haven't always been the person wanting sex all the time, but your partner is. Are you going to be the person to say, 'Just because I don't have these needs, you can't have them either?'"

"That's one of the reasons why I was interested in poly because I was introduced to it through kind of a nonsexual lens." She then admitted that she is the "only polyamorous person" among her friend group and has "the least sex out of all of (her) friends," she said.

The singer also made it clear that she needs a reason greater than "I think you're cute" to walk down the aisle.

Willow has her mother's full support on her choice. Her mother said: "I was like, 'I totally get it,'. Wanting to set up your life in a way that you can have what it is that you want, I think that anything goes as long as the intentions are clear to everyone, more to yourself than anything."
