"Five bodies have been recovered, and three to four other labourers are feared buried. A rescue operation is going on," a police official said.

<h2>Rescue operation begins</h2>

The local officials&nbsp;have begun the rescue operation. Ambulance and police reached the spot for the safety of people.&nbsp;

Several labourers were digging a pit for an underground tank for Steel Inox Stainless Pvt Ltd factory in Jasalpur village when loose soil caved in and buried them alive, inspector Prahaladsinh Vaghela of Kadi police station said.&nbsp;

According to the administration, others who are currently trapped in the soil will be rescued alive.&nbsp;

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday expressed grief over the incident. He further wished for the speedy recovery of the injured.&nbsp;

A rescue operation is currently underway after a wall collapsed close to a famous shrine for Muslims in Ajmer city in the Indian state of Rajasthan on Tuesday (Jan 2). Ajmer Dargah Sharif, near which the incident took place, is a shrine of Islam's one of the most respected Sufi saints, Moinuddin Chishti.&nbsp;

Upon receiving the information about the incident, the district authorities sprung into action. Police have also reached the spot of the incident. According to media reports, it was earlier believed that nearly four to five people were trapped under the rubble. However, locals quoted by officials said that at the time of the collapse, no one was present at the site of the incident, media reports said.&nbsp;

"The building was in poor condition. There was a court stay on the building due to a dispute over the ownership between the brothers. Coincidentally, yesterday only a building survey was done," he reportedly said.

The removal of debris is posing a challenge to the officials because of the narrow streets. Tractors and loaders were unable to get to the site of the incident and thus debris is being removed manually.&nbsp;“The rescue operation is ongoing,” the police official reportedly said. Thane (Maharashtra) [India], July 30 (ANI): Two persons were killed while another sustained injuries when a wall of a house collapsed due to a landslide following incessant rains in Kalwa area of Thane district in the wee hours of Tuesday.

The house owner and his son, identified as Birendra Gautam and Sunny Gautam, were rushed to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Hospital but were declared dead by the doctors.

A 35-year-old woman of the same family, who was also injured, is undergoing treatment at the same hospital, an official of the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) said.

Nineteen people were rescued by personnel of the Regional Disaster Management Committee of the TMC and the fire brigade from the Adarsh Mitra Mandal Chawl, where the landslide occurred.

Mumbai and its adjoining areas are likely to receive heavy rains in the next two days, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast said on Tuesday.&nbsp;
