Over a year after the state of Jammu and Kashmir was bifurcated into the Union Territories of J&amp;K and Ladakh, a tableau representing the Union Territory of Ladakh took part in the Republic Day Parade this year for the first time ever.

The tableau highlighted the 'Vision' for Ladakh to be carbon neutral and exemplary for the world.

It showcased the future prospects and development of green Ladakh by using natural resources and generating horticulture produce in apricot and organic farming, besides development of tourism.

The tableau displayed composite culture and communal harmony besides art and architecture, languages and dialects, customs and costumes, fairs and festivals, literature, crafts and music of Ladakh.

The Indian Astronomical Observatory located in Hanle near Leh, one of the world's highest sites for optical, infrared and gamma-ray telescopes, was also featured in the tableau.

In August 2019, the central government scrapped the provision of article 370, bifurcating the state into two Union Territories -- Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.

The secretary of ministry of electronics &amp; IT had written a letter to Twitter's CEO&nbsp;Jack Dorsey earlier raising objection for showing&nbsp;geo-location of <a href="https://www.wionews.com/india-news/twitter-under-fire-as-it-shows-jk-as-part-of-china-336260">Leh</a> in Jammu and Kashmir as a Chinese region.&nbsp;Twitter had later rectified the mistake.

However, it is yet to correct the map to show Leh as part of Union Territory of Ladakh.

The IT ministry has sent the latest notice to Twitter's global vice-president, according to reports.

Reports say the Indian government has directed Twitter to explain within five days why legal action shouldn't be taken against it for disrespecting India's territorial integrity.

In the letter, the ministry said it was a deliberate attempt by Twitter to undermine the "will of sovereign Parliament of India which had declared Ladakh as a Union Territory of India with its headquarter in Leh."

The ministry had earlier sent a notice to Twitter on Monday over the issue.
