Trump said the White House special adviser did not delete the emails, accusing the media of a false story.

"So what Ivanka did, it's all in the presidential records, everything is there. There was no deletion. There was no nothing. What it is is a false story. Hillary Clinton deleted 33,000 emails. She had a server in the basement. That's the real story."

Meanwhile, a US Congressional committee said it will investigate Ivanka Trump's case.

A White House review by US newspapers Washinton Post and the New York Times had revealed that Ivanka Trump used her personal account up to 100 times last year to contact Trump administration's officials.

Democrat Elijah Cummings said a committee will investigate the White House communications when Democrats take over the US House of Representatives in January.
