Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be at the Forefront of the yoga celebrations on Wednesday as the world observes International Day of Yoga. Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to lead the celebrations at the UN headquarters later in the day during his ongoing US state visit.

The United Nations has adopted the world's first Accord to protect the high seas a landmark environmental Accord designed to protect remote ecosystems vital to humanity. This is the first international treaty designed around protecting remote waters. Following more than 15 years of discussions including four years of formal negotiations the treaty will establish a legal framework to ensure Environmental Protection of the international waters.
