After announcing its decision of banning women students from studying at universities, Afghanistan's Taliban-run administration has doubled down on its stance. Nida Mohammad Nadim, Afghanistan's acting higher education minister in his first comments since the announcement of the blanket ban, said women were not adhering to the Taliban's interpretation of the Islamic dress code which prompted the decision.
