The Income Tax department raided 20 properties of Sula Vineyards, its director Rajeev Samant as well as companies linked with him, located in Mumbai and Nashik, on Friday until Sunday.&nbsp;

Media reports say that the raids were in association with the information disclosed in Panama Papers. However, Samant had denied these claims.&nbsp;

The Panama Papers are files&nbsp;released by one of the world&#39;s biggest offshore law firms, Mossack Fonseca, which help in tracking undeclared assets of the worlds rich.&nbsp;

Reports say that the IT officials have taken all the documents and evidence from Rajeev&#39;s companies to compare them with the information mentioned in Panama Papers in order to find any such links.&nbsp;

It was reported that documents have been found which show that the company deposited Rs. 1.5 crores in demonetized currency earlier.&nbsp;

The department has also found documents showing alleged fraud of the Tonnage Tax Scheme used for maritime businesses, further inquiry is being made, reports said.&nbsp;

The information against Sula Vineyards initially came to&nbsp;Enforcement Directorate&#39;s attention&nbsp;in association with the case enquired against senior NCP leader and former minister Chhagan Bhujbal.
