An international firefighting effort is on to douse fire on an oil container off Sri Lankan coast. The country's navy on Thursday said that it may take 'days' to completely douse the fire.

An oil tanker burned out of control raising fears of oil spill in Indian Ocean. The ship was carrying 270,000 tonnes of crude from Kuwait to India when the engine room exploded on Thursday killing one crew member. The other 22 out of 23 crew members have been safely rescued whereas 1 died.
