A migrant boat shipwreck in southern Italy has resulted in more than 45 fatalities and 40 survivors reported so far, according to a representative for the Italian fire department on Sunday. The shipwreck occurred not far from Steccato di Cutro, a beach town on Calabria's eastern coast and the toe of Italy's boot.
