Asian shares rose to new 19-month highs on Monday ahead of the expected signing on Phase One China-US trade deal, although markets have yet to see the details of the agreement.

The 30-share index was trading lower by 164.52 points, or 0.49 per cent, to 33,009.87. The gauge had gained 577.85 points in the previous two sessions.
