U.S. President Donald Trump continues to blam Iran for the deadly school strike that happened during the early phase of the ongoing conflict between the United States, Israel and Iran.

The strike, which occurred near a school in Minab, Iran, killed more than 160 people after a missile hit a military facility located next to the school. The attack reportedly took place when U.S. forces launched strikes against Iranian targets during the opening stages of the war.

However, Trump continues to insist that Iran was responsible for the tragedy, claiming Iranian weapons are inaccurate and may have caused the blast.

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio has sparked a heated backlash after saying the United States struck Iran “pre‑emptively” to prevent Iranian retaliation following intelligence that Israel was planning its own attack. Rubio told reporters that Washington believed an Israeli strike would lead Tehran to hit American forces, and acting first would reduce U.S. casualties.
