Prime Minister Narendra Modi today addressed the students of the Royal University of Bhutan in Thimphu and said that India and Bhutan may vary in sizes but the two countries have beliefs and values in common.

"Bhutan has understood the spirit of harmony, togetherness and compassion. This very spirit radiated from the adorable children who lined the streets to welcome me yesterday. I will always remember their smiles," the prime minister said at the University.

Seeking to establish a closer bond between the two countries especially among youths, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said as Bhutan would pursue its fast forward journey in the contemporary setting, India would partner it in the education sector in more ways than one.

"It is natural that the people of Bhutan and India experience great attachment to each other. After all, we are close not just due to our geography. Our history, culture and spiritual traditions have created unique and deep bonds between our peoples and nations," PM Modi said.

Addressing the students about the stress of academic life PM Modi said that much of what I wrote in my book 'Exam Warriors' is influenced by the teachings of Lord Buddha, especially the importance of positivity, overcoming fear and living in oneness, be it with the present moment or with Mother Nature.

"No better time to be young than now. The world today offers more opportunities than ever before. Today, India is witnessing historic transformations in a wide range of sectors. India is eliminating poverty faster than ever before. India has among the cheapest data connectivity in the world, which is, directly and indirectly, empowering millions," said PM.

The address was attended by Ministers, Members of Parliament and senior officials of the Royal Government of Bhutan.&nbsp;
