In all these months as she fought with the illness and dealt with the effects of the therapy, Sonali reveals that it was a period of struggle for her as she came to terms with the disease. She said that she even felt like there was something wrong with her mentally that triggered the disease.&nbsp;

Sonali revealed that she visited a psychiatrist in New York after which she felt better. She thought she had done something wrong and caused it to herself. She was then told that it was not her lifestyle that led to her getting cancer.

The psychiatrist told Sonali that there was nothing wrong with her and that is when she came to terms with it.&nbsp;

It took her more than six months after being diagnosed to inform the&nbsp;public about cancer.
