<p>Prabhudeva won the Padma Shri award for his body of work in cinema. On finally getting the prestigious prize in 2019, Prabhudeva expressed his feelings on being conferred the same.</p>

<p>He wrote, "I feel extremely honoured for being conferred with the prestigious PADMASHRI AWARD. Heartfelt thanks (sic)"</p>

<p>In another tweet, Prabhudheva's elder son Aditya posted a video message from his father's page. He said, "My dad has been conferred with Padma Shri award. My hearty thanks to friends and family who wished my dad on this day. I'm extremely happy."</p>

<p>Prabhudheva has been dancing and choreographing for decades now and is most commonly regarded as the Michael Jackson of India.</p>

<p>Most recently, he was seen in the recently-released film ‘Charlie Chaplin 2’. It is also said that he might direct Salman Khan in ‘Dabangg 3’ this April. Any official announcement regarding the film is yet to be made.</p>

<p>Prabhudeva has time and again stunned us with his spectacular dance moves and unique choreography style&nbsp;but this time he’s here to woo us with a silent thriller/horror film titled <em>Mercury</em>. Sans any dialogues, the film’s first trailer released on April 9 to prove that ‘silence does speak louder than words’.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The trailer opens to a shot of the hills with a boy and a girl standing at its edge -- with the camera then moving to a scene inside an abandoned factory where four people are scared, bruised and bleeding. The trailer has no dialogues but there is screeching scary music, a lot of metal banging against each other and floor shaking as the people try to protect themselves from something. What adds to the trailer is the vivid expressions on the actors’ faces. The trailer ends with Prabhudeva clad in a lungi (South Indian wrap around) shouting and pulling his hair.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The light and sound mix of the trailer gives the place an eerie feel. And not to miss, there’s a car parked outside the factory with its backlight blinking. Suddenly, it shakes too dangerously.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The choreographer-filmmaker-actor Prabhudeva’s new silent film, <em>Mercury</em> is helmed by Karthik Subbaraj and will release in four languages. The film will also see actors Sananth, Indhuja, Deepak Paramesh, Shashank Purushotham and Anish Padmanabhan. Apart from direction, Subbaraj has written the story and screenplay.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The film has music by Santhosh Narayanan, while the cinematography is taken care of by S Thirunavukkarasu.</p>
