With a day to go for the trilateral summit, China, Japan and South Korea are preparing for talks amid heightened regional tensions. Chinese premier li Keqiang will be hosting the summit with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and South Korean President Moon Jae-in on December 24 in China's southwest city of Chengdu.
