<p>Actress Payal Ghosh has tendered an unconditional apology to Bollywood actress Richa Chadha and withdrawn statement she had made against Chadha a few weeks back. The two actresses on Wednesday told the Bombay High Court that they have amicably settled their dispute.<br />

Chadha had last week filed a defamation suit against Ghosh for making a "false, baseless, indecent and derogatory statement "against her. Chadha in her suit had also sought monetary compensation as damages.<br />
<br />
Ghosh, while making allegations of rape against filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, had also dragged Chadha and two other female actors into the controversy.<br />
<br />
On Wednesday, advocate Nitin Satpute, appearing for Ghosh, told Justice AK Menon that both the parties (Chadha and Ghosh) have settled the matter amicably and submitted a statement of undertaking.<br />
<br />
In the undertaking, Ghosh said she was withdrawing the statement she made against Chadha.<br />
<br />
"Defendant 1 (Ghosh) undertakes to delete her statement and defamatory posts against the plaintiff (Chadha) on Twitter and other social media and further also undertakes not to state, make, publish any defamatory, insulting and humiliating statement (s) against the plaintiff at any time," the statement said.<br />
<br />
"The parties have agreed they would not file any cases against each other with regard to this matter and there would not be any demand for monetary compensation," Satpute told the court.<br />
<br />
Chadha's advocates Veerendra Tulzapurkar and Saveena Bedi Sachar also said the matter has been worked out.<br />
Justice Menon accepted the same and disposed of the suit against Ghosh.<br />
<br />
Chadha in her suit had also arraigned a Telugu news channel and actor Kamaal R Khan as defendants for uploading Ghosh's video and making further statements against Chadha.<br />
<br />
On Wednesday, Khan's advocate Manoj Gadkari told the court that the actor will not make any further statements but he intends to contest the present suit.<br />
<br />
The bench then directed him to file an affidavit and posted the suit for further hearing after six weeks.<br />
<br />
On September 23 Ghosh had lodged a complaint at suburban Versova police station accusing Kashyap of raping her in 2013.<br />
<br />
Kashyap was on October 1 questioned by the police during which he denied the allegations and provided documentary evidence to show that he was shooting in Sri Lanka at the time when the alleged incident is said to have taken place.</p>

Kalki took to Twitter to post in support of the fulmmaker and revealed how Kashyap has always stood up for her integrity even after they got dirvorced.<br />

Kalki shared a tweet and said, "Trolls will continue to troll." Further, in her note, she wrote "Dear Anurag, don`t let this social media circus get to you. You have fought for the freedom of women in your scripts. You`ve defended their integrity in your professional space as well as in your personal life. I have been witness to it. In the personal and professional space you have always seen me as your equal. You have stood up for my integrity even after our divorce and you have supported me when I felt unsafe in a work environment even before we got together."<br />

The `Dev D` actor claimed that Kashyap always stood up for her when she felt unsafe at the workplace and that he has always fought for women`s freedom in his writing as well.<br />

Kalki continued, "This strange time where everyone gets to abuse one another and make false claims without any repercussions is a dangerous and repulsive one. It is destroying families, friends and countries. But there is a place of dignity that exists beyond this virtual blood bath, a place of paying attention to the needs of those around you, a place of being kind even when no one is looking, and I know you are very familiar with that place. <p>On Saturday, actress Payal Ghosh accused Kashyap of sexual harassment. Speaking to ANI, she said, "Five years ago I met Anurag Kashyap regarding work. He called me to his house. When I went there, he took me to a separate room and tried to sexually assault me. He forced himself on me."<br />
