Pakistani singer Haniya Aslam is no more. Aslam, who was part of the Zeb-Haniya duo, passed away on Sunday (Aug 11) after suffering a cardiac arrest. She was 39.

The news of Haniya's death was confirmed by her cousin and music partner, Zebunissa Bangash (Zeb). As a tribute, the singer shared a series of photos of Hania on her Instagram handle with the caption "Hanini."

Hania was a popular name in the Pakistani music industry. In 2007, the duo's famous band ''Zeb-Haniya'' was first all-woman band in Pakistan. Together, they have given hit songs such as "Tan Dole", "Dil Pagla", "Dosti", "Ahaan" and "Sah Na Sake" among others.

Apart from this song, Haniya and Zeb's several renditions on Coke Studio Pakistan were superhits. In her short-lived career, she has also lent her voice to Bollywood movies such as Highway and Madras Cafe.
