<p>Meanwhile, Commodore G Prakash, commanding officer of the INC Venduruthy, said the navy has rescued 25 people from the Lakshadweep Islands and another 13 from off the Kerala coast.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Prakash said the Lakshadweep Islands had suffered extensive damane.</p>

<p>That roofs had been blown off homes, trees had fallen on homes, and boats had capsized.&nbsp;</p>

<p>He added that the navy is conducting a massive search in the area.&nbsp;</p>
