Per the original itinerary, Karachi was to host the second game, but because the renovation work is underway at the National Stadium, the board decided against going ahead with it.

While Karachi, where England completed their historic clean sweep over Pakistan the last time in 2022, was out of the window, Rawalpindi wasn't considered an option due to a major international conference in Islamabad from October 15-16.

However, at one stage, it seemed like the series could be relocated elsewhere, with Abu Dhabi in the UAE considered an option.&nbsp;

"Despite minor adjustments, we are committed to supporting fans and ensuring a memorable tour. We look forward to a fiercely competitive Test series and showcasing Pakistan's renowned hospitality."

Meanwhile, England is due to arrive in Pakistan on October 2, with the home side set to assemble in the city on the same date. The first Test begins on October 7, while the second one is scheduled four days later on October 15. Both teams will move to Rawalpindi for the third and final Test starting October 24.&nbsp;
