In his post on Reddit, the 38-year-old man wrote that he and his 35-year-old wife were planning a vacation to Venice, Italy,&nbsp;along with their five-year-old daughter.&nbsp;

"Venice has always been my wife's idea of a romantic city, so it's been her dream to go there," said the man. He said that his mother-in-law also joined them on the trip after she said that "it was her dream to visit too".

The man was dismayed after he found that his wife had booked only one room for the four people which had two queen beds and made the perfect situation for multiple conflicts.

The redditer said that he was unhappy to see his mother-in-law share his wife's "expensive" products like face wash, shampoo and lotion and also sit on their bed.

"It is very unhygienic to me and I don't like that she was sitting on the bed that me and my wife share, as I am a very private person," said the user.&nbsp;

"She also rummaged through our suitcase looking for a hair tie, and it really irked me that she did so without asking me. I don't like the thought of her looking through our stuff when we're gone, so I locked it," the man wrote.&nbsp;

The man claimed that the "final straw" was when he found that the mother-in-law was using his and his wife's toothpaste which made him feel "ill".

"I don't like the thought of her putting her toothbrush close to (or even on) the toothpaste nozzle.... I asked [my] MIL if the only reason she came was to freeload off of me and my wife, as she didn't pay for any of the expenses (hotel, amenities, food), only her own plane tickets. I said that I've asked her politely several times to stop using my wife's stuff, especially because I share it with her and it's very inappropriate," the user wrote.

The user said that when his wife got to know about it, she screamed at him and he felt "very angry" and decided to abandon them in the middle of the trip.&nbsp;

"I changed the date of my plane ticket and went straight home. My wife has called me several times afterwards, screaming at me and saying that our daughter is upset," he said.

Man dumps family on dream vacation after his mother-in-law uses his toothpaste

A Russian woman, Olga Fimenkov, has been sitting at the doorstep of her in-laws&#39; home in India&#39;s northern Agra city in protest against the refusal by her mother-in-law to let her into the house. 
 
Fimenkov, who married Vikrant Singh Chandel in 2011, is on a hunger strike, and claims that she, her daughter, and husband have been barred from entering the house. 
 
&quot;My problem is that my mother in-law has thrown us out of the house. We don&#39;t have any other place to live. I am sitting here with my daughter at the gate of the house. She is not letting me go inside. I have not eaten anything from morning and I will not eat also until I am getting a place to live in,&quot; Fimenkov said on Saturday (July 09) in fluent Hindi. 
 
She accused her mother-in-law of mentally torturing her for not bringing dowry with her. 
 
Fimenkov and her husband Vikrant claimed that they have reported the matter to local police but they have been of little help. 
 
Fimenkov said she had also lodged a written complaint with Russian embassy. 
 
Her husband admitted that his wife was often tortured by his mother.
