<p>One girl, who was among a lucky group of few people to have fled the carnage, was quoted as saying by state-funded RT news channel that she saved her life by pretending to be dead.</p>

<p>“They (attackers) saw us. One of them ran back and started shooting at people. I fell to the floor and pretended to be dead. I was bleeding,” she said. “The girl lying next to me was killed,” she added, saying the terrorists opened fire on people who were lying on the ground.</p>

<p>According to Russian police, the four men who wreaked havoc on the concert hall were arrested on Saturday. All appeared to be from Tajikistan, as per reports.</p>

<p>Another victim, 27-year-old Arina, was quoted as saying by the Guardian that she heard a large bang “coming from outside the room, we thought it was part of the concert.”</p>

<p>“But at some point, we understood that something was seriously wrong, we realised there were shootings,” Arina added.</p>

<p>“We all lay on the ground. I looked beside me and I saw many injured people covered in blood.”</p>

<p>Another victim Alexander said the attackers didn’t say anything and started shooting indiscriminately. “They didn’t say anything. They just started shooting at the people in front of them,” he said.</p>

<p>After executing the deadly carnage inside, the gunmen then set the hall to fire and tried to lock it up in order to kill all those left inside.</p>

<p>“They closed the front door, but they probably couldn’t close the lock,” said the woman. After some time, she crawled out and ran towards the exit. “I realised that there was no one there and went outside,” she said.</p>

‘I pretended to be dead’: Moscow carnage survivors recount horror

<p>The Islamic State group has claimed responsibility for the harrowing terrorist attack that took place at a Moscow concert hall on Friday (Mar 22) and resulted in the death of at least 133 people.</p>

<p>A statement released by the group on Telegram read, “Islamic State fighters attacked a large gathering of Christians in the city of Krasnogorsk on the outskirts of the Russian capital, Moscow, killing and wounding hundreds and causing great destruction to the place before they withdrew to their bases safely.”</p>

<p>Russia’s Investigative Committee said Saturday (Mar 23)&nbsp;it was too early to comment on the fate of the attackers <strong>but later two suspects were arrested.</strong>&nbsp;Russia’s Tass state news agency is reporting that President Vladimir Putin has wished all those injured&nbsp;a speedy recovery and conveyed his gratitude to the doctors.</p>

<p>The US intelligence has confirmed the IS’s claim, which had warned about a terror attack inside Russia in recent weeks.</p>

<p>The attack on Crocus City Hall, which left more than 145 wounded, is one of the worst attacks on Russia since the 2004 Beslan school siege when terrorists took more than 1,000 people hostage.</p>

<p>The UN secretary-general has condemned the attack in 'strongest possible terms'.</p>

<p>Another witness was quoted by Reuters as saying that a stampede began as soon as the gunfire started. “A stampede began. Everyone ran to the escalator,” the witness said and added “Everyone was screaming, everyone was running."</p>
