<p>On Tuesday, the Indian government had written to the WHO representative in the UAE to ensure that air passengers displaying monkeypox symptoms should not be allowed to board flights. India has so far recorded eight confirmed monkeypox cases.</p>

<p>The Nigerian woman who was detected with the virus has been admitted to&nbsp;a Delhi hospital after she was detected&nbsp;with fever and skin lesions. However, there is no information about her travel history so far.</p>

<p>The Delhi government informed that seventy isolation rooms have been set up across six hospitals to tackle the monkeypox crisis. Delhi's state government led by AAP said it was geared for "a potential monkeypox outbreak" and can add more isolation rooms if needed.</p>
