<p>At least 30 people were injured when a Russian guided bomb hit a high-rise residential building in Ukraine's Kharkiv on Sunday (Sept 15). In a post on Telegram, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that there was fire and rubble between the 9th and 12th floors of the building.</p>

<p>President Zelensky posted photos of smoke and fire billowing out of the windows of a multi-storey building. All windows had been blown out. In a separate post on X, Zelensky said that all emergency services were involved in rescuing the people.&nbsp;</p>

<h2><strong>'Civilian infrastructure damaged'</strong></h2>

<p>Kharkiv's Governor&nbsp;Oleh Syniehubov said that civilian infrastructure was also damaged in the bomb blast. Kharkiv,&nbsp;Ukraine's second biggest city, is located near the Russian border and is constantly under attack from Russian bombs, missiles and drones.</p>

<p>This attack came a day after Russia struck&nbsp;the village of Pisky-Radkivski with the high-speed Tornado-S multiple rocket launch system. In a post on Telegram, Governor&nbsp; Syniehubov said that the&nbsp;body of a 72-year-old woman was retrieved from the rubble, and two civilians, a man and a woman, were taken to the hospital.</p>

<p>On Thursday, Russian shelling&nbsp;killed three people and injured nine in the Borova&nbsp;village in northeastern Kharkiv, the news agency Reuters reported, citing regional authorities.</p>

<p>The interior ministry had earlier reported emergency services were working at the site of the initial attack when Moscow's troops shelled it again.</p>

<h2><strong>'Ukraine suffering high losses due to...'</strong></h2>

<p>President Zelensky told CNN on Friday that&nbsp;Ukrainian troops were suffering high losses because Western arms were arriving too slowly to equip the armed forces properly.</p>

<p>Russia has been gaining ground in parts of eastern&nbsp;Ukraine,&nbsp;including around Pokrovsk. The capture of the transport hub could enable Moscow to open new lines of attack.</p>

<p>Zelensky told CNN that the situation in the east was "very tough", adding that half of&nbsp;Ukraine's brigades there were not equipped.</p>

<p>"So you lose a lot of people. You lose people because they are not in armed vehicles ... they don't have artillery, they don't have artillery rounds," the Ukrainian president added.</p>
