The local branch of the Russian emergencies ministry said that six people were killed when a "private Mi-8 helicopter hit electrical wires" and crashed on Thursday (July 27) while landing in the village of Tyungur and caught fire.&nbsp;

The minister said that there were "16 people on board, nine of them were injured, six were killed". It further added that one person did not require medical assistance.&nbsp;

The news agency AFP reported that images released by the ministry showed firefighters working on the charred wreckage. The ministry said that the fire had been extinguished.&nbsp;

Russian investigators have started an investigation to find out whether to not the rules of safety of air transport were violated.&nbsp;
