<p>Trump said that if US lawmakers don't approve the new agreement, then the three countries would revert to the rules of trade that existed before NAFTA came into effect in 1994.</p>

<p>It is unclear if Trump has the legal power to terminate NAFTA in the way he has threatened. The opposition Democratic party will soon have a majority in the lower house of Congress and has said it wants changes to the new trade deal, known as the USMCA.</p>

<p>Mexico's highest average MFN tariffs are on agricultural products - 21.4 per cent on dairy products, and 16.7 per cent on animal products, WTO data show. That could hurt US farmers who export to Mexico. The US poultry sector, which exports products worth more than $1 billion a year to Mexico, has warned that it could be hit hard.</p>

<p>Russia goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev is retiring from international soccer after leading the national side as captain to this year's World Cup quarter-finals on home soil.</p>

Designed for individuals brought to the United States as children by parents who were undocumented immigrants, the program shielded the individuals from deportation and gave them work permits.</p>

<p>Trump is spending the Easter holiday in Palm Beach, Florida, at his Mar-a-Lago resort. He told reporters on his way into Easter services that “Mexico has got to help us at the border.”</p>

<p>Trump has said he was open to brokering a deal with congressional Democrats who want to protect the program in exchange for funding to build a U.S.-Mexico border wall, a frequent campaign trail promise. He insisted during his presidential campaign Mexico would pay for the wall.</p>

<p>Although Trump threatened a veto last month of an omnibus spending bill because it did not address the fate of Dreamers and did not fully fund his border wall, he did sign the bill.</p>
