Following the latest security breach in the Parliament, over 141 MPs have been suspended. To date, this is the highest suspension of opposition MPs. Leaders took to X to criticise opposition leaders' mimicry of the Vice President.

The Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha were adjourned till 2 PM within minutes of reconvening as Opposition MPs demanded a statement from Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and a discussion on the security lapse in the Lok Sabha as well as the suspension of 14 Opposition MPs for the remaining Winter Session. Meanwhile, the suspended MPs staged a protest in front of the Gandhi statue situated in Parliament premises on Friday morning.

There was a major security breach during Zero Hour in Parliament at 1.02 pm on Wednesday after two men, both carrying smoke canisters emitting an as yet unidentified yellow smoke, jumped from the visitors' gallery and ran into the Lok Sabha chamber.
