India is all set to conduct the fourth phase of the ongoing Lok Sabha elections on Monday (May 13).&nbsp;A total of&nbsp;96 constituencies will go to polls in the fourth phase, spread across nine states and one Union Territory (UT). The polling starts at 7 am and will close at 6 pm.

In the fourth phase, more than 1,700 candidates are in the fray.&nbsp;

All constituencies in the southern Indian states of Andhra Pradesh (25) and Telangana (17) will go to polls. Elections will also&nbsp;be held&nbsp;in different numbers of constituencies in the following states.

Uttar Pradesh (13)&nbsp;

Maharashtra (11)&nbsp;

Madhya Pradesh and West Bengal (8 each)&nbsp;

Bihar (5)&nbsp;

Odisha and Jharkhand (4 each) and&nbsp;

Jammu and Kashmir (1).

Additionally, assembly polls will&nbsp;be held&nbsp;in the state of Andhra Pradesh.

Prominent candidates in phase 4 include Akhilesh Yadav (Kannauj), Omar Abdullah (Srinagar), Giriraj Singh (Begusarai), Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury (Behrampur), Mahua Moitra (Krishnanagar), Shatrughnan Sinha (Asansol), Asaduddin Owaisi (Hyderabad) and YS Sharmila (Kadappa).

<h2>177 million voters to cast votes</h2>

A whopping 177 million voters will&nbsp;cast their votes&nbsp;in the fourth phase of the elections across 200,000 polling stations. There are 1.2 million elderly voters as well who have&nbsp;been given&nbsp;the option to&nbsp;cast their&nbsp;vote from home.

<h2>No heatwave predicted</h2>

Much to the relief of voters, the Election Commission of India (ECI) on Sunday said no heatwave&nbsp;was predicted&nbsp;for the Monday phase.&nbsp;

The weather forecast says constituencies going for polls&nbsp;are likely to&nbsp;experience normal to below-normal temperatures (±2 degrees).
