Directed by Leila Conners, the film premiere saw actors like Christoph Waltz, Minnie Driver, Scott Eastwood and Tyrese Gibson and others.&nbsp;

It focuses on the advanced research behind today's climate science and suggests ways to actually reduce the existing carbon in the atmosphere, paving the way for a reduction in the global temperature rise.

The climate change movie is produced and narrated by DiCaprio. The actor’s father George DiCaprio, served as one of the movie's executive producers and was all smiles at the event.

Conners first collaborated by DiCaprio on ‘The 11th Hour.’ &nbsp;

DiCaprio has been proactive for causes related to environment and climate change. In films, he has previously produced ‘Sea of Shadows’ about the world's smallest whale, ‘A Plastic Ocean’ and ‘Virunga’.

Hollywood actor and environmental activist Leonardo DiCaprio wants his upcoming documentary on climate change to release ahead of the US presidential elections in November in order to be able to influence voter&#39;s decisions in time. &nbsp;Titled &#39;Before the Flood&#39;, the film features Leonardo&#39;s interviews with world leaders as he assesses the impact of industrialisation and possible solutions. 
 
Before the Flood releases in New York and Los Angeles theaters on October 21 and airs globally on National Geographic on October 30.

The film calls out the sizable minority of Republican lawmakers, including presidential candidate Donald Trump and former candidates Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz, who deny the scientific evidence of the damage to the environment from human activity.

The film also criticises those who fund anti-environment groups for commercial gain.
