As many as 150 people, including foreigners, were rescued after a road was washed away due to the incessant rain in Lahaul and Spiti district, Border Roads Organisation (BRO) officials said on Sunday.

The BRO shifted the people from Chhota Dara, Chhatru and Gramphu areas of the district to a safe place in a nearby village.

According to Colonel Uma Shanker, 38 Border Road Task Force (BRTF), one person was administered the first aid and shifted to a local hospital. Around 400 tourists are, however, still stuck between the roads in Keylong and Sissu.&nbsp;

"They are at a safe location, but not able to come out of the valley due to heavy rain and flood. Restoration work is underway," Shanker added.

As many as 18 people have lost their lives in the past 24 hours due to heavy rains that battered the state.&nbsp;

"Several people have died in Himachal Pradesh in this tragedy. I express my profound grief to those who have suffered and their families," said Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur in a tweet.&nbsp;

Six trekkers from Delhi and Shimla have reportedly been missing in Himachal Pradesh's tribal Kinnaur district due to bad weather since September 21, news agency ANI reported Tuesday.

The youths reportedly all below 27 years of age, had started the trek from Jakha in Dodra Kwar Tehsil in Shimla district on Friday and were supposed to reach Sangla in Kinnaur district.

Three trekkers identified as, Puneet, Nikhil and Ashutosh,&nbsp;are reportedly from Jubbal area in Shimla district. However, the identities of the other three were yet to be ascertained but they are&nbsp;said to be from Delhi.

According to reports, the rescue operation for locating and bringing them to safer places will restart from Wednesday morning.

The ANI further reported that a rescue team has already been constituted which has proceeded towards Kinnaur on Tuesday morning and it would start trekking Sangta from Jakha on Wednesday.

Kinnaur police have also been intimated and a police rescue team along with the jawans of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) has proceeded towards the Rupin pass.

The Queen of Hills and popular tourist destination Shimla recorded a temperature of 3.4 degree Celsius, the MeT department said.

Delhi and a few areas in north India witnessed light rains on Tuesday, which led to sharp drop in temperatures.

In Punjab, Amritsar had a cold day at 15.8 degrees Celsius, down six notches against normal limit, while the low temperature settled at 10.8 degrees Celsius, up six notches.

The maximum temperature in Ludhiana was 16.4 degrees Celsius, down five notches and the minimum temperature was 12.4 degrees Celsius.

Patiala, too, had a cold day at 16.7 degrees Celsius. The minimum was recorded at 13.5 degrees Celsius.

Hisar and Karnal in Haryana recorded below normal maximum temperature at 18.4 and 18 degrees Celsius respectively while the respective minimums at these places settled at 12.9 and 12.9 degrees Celsius, which were above normal.

According to the MeT forecast, moderate to dense fog was likely to occur at isolated places during next three days in Haryana and Punjab.
