<p>India&rsquo;s foreign minister Sushma Swaraj, in a series of tweets, hit out at Pakistani counterpart Sartaj Aziz for not acknowledging a visa request for Kulbhushan Jadhav&rsquo;s mother.</p>

<p>She, however, added that any Pakistani national asking for a medical visa would be granted one immediately if Sartaj Aziz recommended it.</p>

<p>Swaraj&#39;s tweets come after Pakistani media last week reported that the Indian embassy in Pakistan rejected the visa application of a woman suffering from cancer for her treatment in India.</p>

<p>Faiza Tanveer, in a series of tweets, had urged Swaraj to intervene.</p>

<p>Swaraj said she sympathised with Pakistani nationals seeking medical visa and that all it required was a &ldquo;recommendation&rdquo; from Aziz.</p>

<p>She added, &ldquo;I am sure Mr. Sartaj Aziz also has consideration for the nationals of his country.&rdquo;</p>

<p>She then wrote that India, too, had a visa application pending for Mrs Avantika Jadhav, Kulbhushan Jadhav&rsquo;s mother.</p>

<p>Swaraj added that she had written a letter to Aziz requesting a visa for Mrs Jadhav, but he didn&rsquo;t even show the courtesy to acknowledge her letter.</p>

<p>&ldquo;We also have a visa application pending for an Indian national Mrs.Avantika Jadhav who wants to meet her son in Pakistan against whom they have pronounced a death sentence. I wrote a personal letter to Mr. Sartaj Aziz for the grant of her visa to Pakistan. However, Mr.Aziz has not shown the courtesy even to acknowledge my letter,&rdquo; she wrote.</p>
