<p>He took to Instagram and wrote a&nbsp;post that read:&nbsp;"I stay away from gossip as much as I can, but for my family, I feel it is important to address recent rumours that are hurting the people I love. A few weeks ago I displayed a strong lapse in judgment but let me be clear nothing happened between me and my co-star."</p>

<p>It continued,&nbsp;"I drank way too much that night and I regret my behaviour. I should have known better. This is not the example I want to set for my son. I apologise to my amazing wife and family for putting them through such an embarrassing situation, and I am focused on being the best husband and father I can be. This was not that. I am incredibly proud of working on Palmer. Looking forward to continuing to make this movie ane excited for people to see it."</p>

<p>The video, if you remember, had Alisha and Justin holding hands as her hands rested on the singer’s lap. What triggered a reaction from the public was the look that Alisha gave to Justin in the video, that many point out was an affectionate one and looked like more than just friendship.</p>

<p>A source cited in People said that the two’s interactions that night were “completely innocent.” “It’s a balcony with a group of people and it was definitely nothing happening. He’s down there shooting [his film] Palmer, they’re starring in the movie together and they’re cool and everybody was just hanging out,” the source added.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The source continued, “The video may look a way, but literally it was nothing. It was some friends, members of the team, crew and people like that. They all know each other and were hanging. Like come one, they’re on an open balcony in New Orleans and he’s famous. It was nothing.”</p>

<p>Justin was spotted returning to work on the set after the incident and so was Alisha as both shot for their scenes and then went their separate ways.&nbsp;</p>

<p>‘Palmer’ directed by Fisher Stevens stars Justin Timberlake as Eddie Palmer, a one-time college football star who ends up serving time in jail and later returns to his hometown to try and pick up the pieces. Alisha Wainwright plays Maggie Hayes, a teacher who starts a relationship with Eddie.</p>
