This Bill is to implement 10 per cent Economically Weaker Section (EWS) quota in Jammu and Kashmir.

Earlier, the Union Cabinet approved the Jammu and&nbsp;Kashmir Reservation (2nd Amendment) Bill, 2019.

The 10 per cent quota Bill to economically weaker sections was introduced through the 103rd Constitution Amendment in January.&nbsp;

The Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha cleared the bill on January 8 and 9 respectively, and it has been signed by President Ram Nath Kovind.

Meanwhile, a meeting is underway between Amit Shah, Home Secretary Rajiv Gauba and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, at the Parliament.
