FC Goa's woeful start to the Indian Super League (ISL) 2021-22 season came to an end as they defeated SC East Bengal 4-3 at the Tilak Maidan Stadium on Tuesday.

This was the Gaurs'&nbsp;first win of the season while the Red and Gold Brigade continue to be bottom dwellers with no win as yet.

Fourteen minutes into the match, Alberto Noguera (14`) scored his first goal of the season with a long-range screamer and gave the Gaurs an early lead. Antonio Perosevic (26`) went a step better and scored a sensational equaliser with a half-volley from a similar distance. The attempt hit the right-sided post and deflected inside the net, giving Dheeraj Singh no chance.

Saviour Gama and Seriton Fernandes both received yellow cards in the first half for poor challenges. Jorge Ortiz (32`) then regained the lead for his team by opening his account for the season from the penalty spot after Seriton was fouled inside the box.

Jamshedpur FC continued their unbeaten run in the season as they handed ATK Mohun Bagan their second consecutive defeat with a 2-1 win in the Indian Super League (ISL) here on Monday.

The win took Jamshedpur to second spot in the points table while ATK Mohun Bagan slumped to fifth spot.

Seiminlen Doungel (37th) scored the opener for the Men of Steel with a sublime finish from the right flank. Alex Lima (84th) scored the second after coming on as a substitute late in the second half.

Pritam Kotal (89th) pulled one back for ATKMB but it ended as too little too late to affect the final scoreline.

Captain Edu Bedia was left out to accommodate former Highlander Dylan Fox. Airam Cabrera did not feature in the matchday squad as he was nursing a small niggle.

Chennaiyin FC were held to a goalless draw by SC East Bengal in an Indian Super League match here on Friday.

The two-time champions, who had started the season with two wins, could not get the better of a struggling Kolkata side despite having the better of the exchanges through the night.

CFC moved to the top spot with seven points from three games after the drawn game while East Bengal were placed ninth with two points after four matches.

In the 87th minute, Vladimir Koman sent a corner kick into the box and Lallianzuala Chhangte, who was there unmarked, attacked the loose ball but could not hit the target.

It was a goalless first half, but Chennaiyin FC were the better team as they created multiple opportunities and managed to penetrate the SCEB defence, but could not score.

For the Kolkata side, Suvam Sen stood like a rock and made plenty of saves. SCEB, on the other hand, lacked the teeth and the move to have Daniel Chukwu as the centre forward did not seem to work for them.

While there was a flurry of half-chances, neither side could score and break the deadlock before the break.

Seasoned campaigners Adil Khan and Raju Gaikwad were brought in after the change of ends. Despite that, SC East Bengal's defensive frailties were apparent.

Igor Angulo continued from where he left last season, a dominating outing though against his former side as defending champions Mumbai City FC beat FC Goa 3-0 here in a 2021-22 Indian Super League (ISL) match at the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Fatorda on Monday.

Angulo (33` P, 36`) scored twice under three minutes in the first half before Brazilian Ygor Catatau (76') celebrated his ISL debut within minutes of stepping onto the pitch, closing the match for the City Football Group-owned club in their season opener.

Des Buckingham on his first match as Head Coach on Indian soil showed off Mumbai City's summer signings in the starting XI. Apuia, Mohammad Nawaz, Rahul Bheke, and Cassio Gabriel all started alongside Angulo.

There was drama early on with Leander D`Cunha let off for what looked like a possible foul inside the box for tripping down Vignesh Dakshinamurthy. The Mumbai City wing-back had to be subbed off in pain.

The two sides cancelled each other out tactically in the game as both goals came from set-pieces. Croatian defender Franjo Prce (17`) scored a delightful opener for the Red and Golds while Peter Hartley (45+3`) equalised at the stroke of halftime for the Men of Steel. 
 
Jose Manuel Diaz started in a classic 4-4-2 formation with Hira Mondal and Lalrinliana Hnamte making their ISL debuts for SC East Bengal. Jamshedpur FC sported a rather familiar look with new attacking duo Jordan Murray and Greg Stewart named on the bench. 
 
The opening few exchanges saw two youngsters impress particularly. Boris Singh made his mark in an attacking role for Jamshedpur while debutant Hnamte had a shot on target early for the Kolkata giants.

Jamshedpur, eager to get back, had Nerijus Valskis press upfront. The only time Valskis came close to scoring was around the half-hour mark when his shot grazed wide of the post. 
 
Peter Hartley left it till the brink of half-time to level scores. Alex Lima`s flag-kick had Valskis flick it off for his captain who appeared to shoulder the ball past Arindam Bhattacharya, as SC East Bengal were left to rue their defensive error. 
 
Ishan Pandita and Komal Thatal's introduction in the second half gave an impetus to Valskis. The Lithuanian had a shot saved by last season's Golden Glove winner Arindam after Ishan had a near sniff at goal.
