Thousands of airline passengers across Europe woke up this morning at the wrong destination – and even in the wrong country – after Storm Isha caused havoc with flights, with dozens of cancelations, diversions and go-arounds in western Europe.

Storms Isha lashed Britain and Ireland with heavy rain and wind gusts of almost 100 miles (160 kilometers) an hour. The storm uprooted beeches in Northern Ireland and littered roadsides and rail tracks across the country with trees that blocked trains.
