<p>The CBI noted that Mukerjea could not be confronted with Karti Chidambaram or his CA and as he (Mukerjea) did not cooperate with the investigators.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"For the next dates, Peter will be produced through video conferencing from Mumbai Jail. He will be taken to Mumbai today," the CBI noted.</p>

<p>Mukerjea-owned INX Media Ltd had allegedly paid bribes to get a Foreign Investment Promotion Board (FIPB) approval which was facilitated by former finance minister P. Chidambaram's son Karti Chidambaram.</p>

<p>Mukerjea was sent to CBI custody earlier this week. On Wednesday, <a href="http://cmsuat.wionews.com/india-news/inx-media-case-cbi-to-move-plea-to-record-peter-mukerjeas-statement-before-court-126685">the CBI was to move a plea seeking permission to record Mukerjea's statement before the court</a> in connection with the aforementioned case, as per provisions of Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC).</p>

<p>Karti Chidambaram was granted bail on March 23 by the Delhi High Court against a surety of Rs 10 lakh.&nbsp;</p>
